Henry J. Drexler - Artist

Resumé

painting

Henry J. Drexler is a self-taught contemporary artist from Chenango County, New York, where he was born and raised on a dairy farm. His work is inspired by that experience and manifests his keen sense of place and intimate knowledge of farm life and the rural landscape. He prefers to paint with acrylic because of its versatility. Over time his work has evolved to become increasingly abstract. This is particularly true of his Bovine Madness series and his extruded pieces. His work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions in New York and surrounding states and can be found in museum, corporate and private collections throughout the United States. His work can be seen at the Smithy-Pioneer Gallery in Cooperstown, New York.
